Getting Started

First of all, I do not anticipate that anyone will follow me.  :)  I am doing this for me.  I need a place to put my plan and a place to post my struggles.  So this is it.

I am Alison, a 30 year old female.  I have had four children in the last 8 1/2 years.  My husband and I have been married almost 10 years and have an 8 year old, a 6 year old, a 4 year old, and a 2 year old.  In the last 10 years I have gained a lot of weight.  I have lost some and then gained it back and then lost and then gained.  I am your typical yo yo dieter.  Something works for a while and then I quit or my body adjusts to it and I get frustrated and quit, just to gain back what I lost plus some.

I am right now at one of the highest weights I have ever been, including when I was pregnant.  My current weight is 248 pounds.  I am 5' 9" and anyone who can do that BMI calculation knows that I am no where near being healthy.  I have had my blood work done and have been seen by my doctor and currently do not have any of the typical obese persons aliments (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, etc).  I know it is only a matter of time so I need to do this now.  I need to get the weight off and do it for good.

I have enrolled in Weight Watchers online.  I will be tracking my food daily, as well as my exercise, and weight loss/gain.  I will be weighing in on Thursdays (that is what I have started doing with WW so I thought I would keep that going on here as well).  This week I will begin tracking my measurements as well.

Here is this weeks exercise schedule:



Sunday: 10 sit ups, 10 crunches, 25 squats. (5 pushups, 15sec plank, 5 chair dips. x2) 30 minutes of Zumba (dvd). Monday: 20 sit ups, 15 crunches, 30 squats. (8 pushups, 20sec plank, 5 chair dips x2) 30 minutes of Elliptical Tuesday: 5 sit ups, 20 crunches, 35 squats. (5 pushups, 15 sec plank, 8 chair dips. x2) 30 minute Zumba (dvd). Wednesday: 10 sit ups, 25 crunches, 40 squats. (10 push ups, 30 sec plank, 8 chair dips. x2) 30 minute elliptical Thursday: 5 sit ups, 10 crunches 20 squats. (REST) 30 minute Zumba (dvd). Friday: 15 sit ups, 30 crunches, 30 squats. (10 push ups, 30 sec plank, 8 chair dips. x2) 30 minutes elliptical. Saturday: 20 sit ups, 35 crunches, 55 squats. (8 pushups, 45 sec plank, 5 chair dips. x2) REST
